The Burnside Memorial Hall is licensed to accommodate 80 people seated The Main Hall is 13.5m long by 6.5m wide (width is to the pillars, not to the walls). See also Plan of the Hall.


  • Tables (adult) - 13 Gopak-style folding tables (each seats 6 adults comfortably; can seat 8)
  • Chairs (adult) - 80 upholstered

  • Tables (child) - 5 small Gopak-style folding tables
  • Chairs (child) - 30 small plastic seats (together these are ideal for children's parties)

The Kitchen can be used as a small meeting room for up to 15 people

Parking

No parking is available on-site

A car may be parked for a short time on the brick paving outside the main door to drop off and pick up equipment only. This area must be left clear during use of the Hall for emergency access. Please do not park on the paving stones.

On-street parking is available on Church Hill; please make sure you lock your car.
Please park on the far side of the road from the Hall and do not block the pavement.

Please be careful if you park on Church Lane (it is very narrow); do not block access to houses.

Other information

The Hall is centrally heated.

The Hall does not have a licence to sell alcohol; this can be obtained by local licensees for special events. However users can consume their own alcoholic drinks in the Hall.

The Hall is professionally cleaned. Hand sanitiser is provided at the main door and in the kitchen.

Please note the Trustees do not  permit the use of bouncy castles or other inflatables in the Hall or in the Hall's grounds.
